About the Society
Enactus Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College established in the year 2017 is a team of enthusiastic students who believe in bringing a change in the society through entrepreneurship and also focusing on saving the environment.
Our students are committed towards the betterment of the society, creating innovative solutions, generating entrepreneurship opportunities by using entrepreneurial skills.
Over the years, we have initiated many projects aimed at promoting and supporting products manufactured by women, physically challenged, and elderly entrepreneurs.
We have a head for the business and a heart for the world. We want to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
The society functions under Enactus India, which operates as part of Enactus Global, a worldwide network dedicated to fostering social entrepreneurship and sustainable impact among students.
Departments
- PR & Marketing Department: Handles Enactus’ image and outreach. From social media campaigns to collaborations and promotions, this team builds the brand, amplifies project impact, and ensures Enactus stays visible and relevant.
- IT & Social Media Department: The tech backbone of Enactus. They manage digital tools, design systems, and streamline operations through technology to enhance efficiency and presentation.
- Content Department: Crafts all written communication, social media captions, project reports, event descriptions, and official documents.
- Research & Development (R&D) Department: They conduct in-depth research, analyze data, and develop innovative, sustainable solutions to strengthen and expand Enactus projects.
Notable Achievements:
Enactus SBSEC has consistently driven social innovation through impactful entrepreneurial projects. The team secured a CSR grant from KPMG in 2021, recognizing its commitment to sustainable community development.
Project Shuddhi, our flagship initiative, qualified for the National Semi-Finals, reflecting the team’s dedication to scalable and result-oriented solutions. Through its continued focus on creativity, sustainability, and collaboration, Enactus SBSEC remains committed to empowering communities and fostering lasting impact.
A sustainable thrift initiative that promotes circular fashion while empowering marginalized women through upcycling and store management. It reduces textile waste, supports women’s financial independence, and encourages ethical, affordable fashion choices.
An environmental project that upcycles cigarette butts into eco-friendly soundproof panels. It aims to reduce cigarette waste, promote sustainability, and create cleaner, healthier surroundings through innovative waste transformation.
Aurora’25, the flagship fest of Enactus SBSEC, celebrated innovation and social impact through events like Startup Sharks and Crisis Conquerors, offering prizes worth ₹50,000. Judged by industry experts and Shark Tank India entrepreneurs, the fest saw strong participation and engagement across DU.
Event
- Harmony House: Visited to interact with and support underprivileged children, understanding their challenges and exploring ways to improve their education and well-being.
- Goonj Recycling Institution: Observed sustainable recycling practices and learned how waste can be converted into resources, reinforcing the importance of responsible consumption.
- Shanti Sahyog: Engaged with women empowerment programs, gaining insights into gender equity initiatives and strategies for enhancing economic independence for women.
