About the Society
The Finance and Investment Cell (FIC) of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Evening) is a student-driven initiative under the Department of Commerce. Established in 2019, the Cell aims to enhance financial literacy, investment awareness, and analytical thinking among students.
Through seminars, research projects, workshops, and interactive competitions, FIC bridges the gap between classroom concepts and real-world finance. Our mission is to empower students with the financial knowledge and practical understanding necessary to navigate and contribute effectively to the global economy.
FIC functions as a structured student body with dedicated teams for research, marketing, event management, and outreach. Regular meetings, training sessions, and collaborative projects form the foundation of our operations.

The Cell organizes a range of events that blend learning, strategy, and creativity to foster practical financial understanding:
1) FINTELLECT – Strategize Today, Prosper Tomorrow
A multi-round competition designed to test financial knowledge, critical thinking, and strategic skills. The event offers participants a platform to showcase analytical ability and innovation.
2) BIDDING WARZ 2.0 (in collaboration with the Students’ Union)
A mock auction event providing participants with hands-on experience in market dynamics, valuation, and investment strategy.
3) TREASURY WARS
A portfolio simulation challenge focusing on decision-making, risk management, and teamwork under real-time scenarios.
