Nuke: The English Debating Society

About the Society

Nuke – The English Debating Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, University of Delhi stands as a dynamic platform devoted to the spirit of Freedom of Speech and Expression.

We believe in the transformative power of words — their ability to challenge perspectives, inspire change, and cultivate critical thinking. Through meaningful debates and discussions, Nuke continues to foster an environment where ideas meet intellect, and reasoned expression thrives.

What Makes Nuke Special?

Nuke is defined by its diverse and intellectually stimulating atmosphere, uniting individuals from varied academic, social, and cultural backgrounds.

It is more than a debating society — it is a community that teaches the art of articulation, leadership through logic, and influence through dialogue.

In a world often divided by opinions, Nuke stands out for promoting civil discourse and respectful disagreement. Members are trained not only to argue effectively but to listen empathetically and engage constructively.

Bound by curiosity and camaraderie, the Nuke family continues to grow as a collective of thinkers, speakers, and changemakers.
