About the Society
Established in 2011, the Commerce Association of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College (University of Delhi) has served as a vital platform for nurturing business acumen, leadership, and holistic development among commerce students. Initially known as VARICO, the association was rebranded in 2023 as PRAGYTA, a Sanskrit term that symbolizes wisdom, enlightenment, and progressive learning.
Over the years, PRAGYTA has evolved from conducting small-scale intra-college events to organizing large inter-college fests, academic workshops, and speaker sessions.
PRAGYTA is more than just a society — it is a community of learners, leaders, and achievers, working collectively to foster intellectual curiosity, creativity, and professional growth within the Department of Commerce.
The association actively organizes academic events, business competitions, workshops, and guest lectures to enhance practical knowledge and industry exposure for students.

UNNATI – The Annual Commerce Fest
UNNATI is the flagship inter-college event of PRAGYTA, held every academic year. It is a grand celebration of intellect, innovation, and managerial excellence, comprising diverse competitions in fields such as marketing, finance, business strategy, and public speaking.
Over the years, UNNATI has grown into one of the most anticipated commerce fests within the University of Delhi, drawing participants from various colleges and offering a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents and strategic abilities.
Speaker Sessions and Workshops
PRAGYTA regularly organizes guest lectures, seminars, and workshops conducted by industry experts, entrepreneurs, and academicians to provide students with valuable exposure and insights.
A recent highlight includes the session on “Entrepreneurship: The Roller Coaster Ride” by Dr. Vasundhra Nattes, which offered students a realistic understanding of the entrepreneurial journey — from ideation to execution.
