Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College was established in July 1973 by the Administration of Delhi. It is named after one of the greatest freedom fighters and sons of the Indian soil — ‘Shaheed-E-Azam’ Bhagat Singh. The college is one of the constituent institutions of the University of Delhi, India.
The foundational idea of the college is service to the nation as a vital part of one’s life and as a guiding light for the development of society. This idea is inculcated in students every step of the way. In its initial years, the college catered to employed individuals seeking to enhance their qualifications. Over time, the college evolved to become more inclusive, welcoming students from all sections of society.
Over the years, the college has witnessed remarkable growth in infrastructure, facilities, and academic activities. It offers undergraduate programs in Humanities and Commerce supported by a dedicated faculty of over 100 accomplished members.
