Notable Achievements

Within the Career Development Centre (CDC) at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, innovation continues to thrive. Under the mentorship of Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji and Dr. Abhishek Tandon, two students — Arpit and Aarav — achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a position among the Top 25 startups in the Delhi University Udhmodya Foundation’s Startup Accelerator Program.

Their project, “Educonse”, stood out among 400 national contenders. Initially selected among the Top 100 startups, they presented their ideas before industry experts and venture capitalists. On October 28, 2023, “Educonse” was recognized among the Super 25 Startups and received funding from the Udhmodya Foundation.

Additionally, five more projects from CDC received mentorship and incubation support, ranking among the Top 100 innovators. This success reflects CDC’s strong commitment to empowering students and promoting entrepreneurship.

Another notable achievement was CDC securing the Runner-Up position in the Smart India Internal Hackathon, represented by Aditi Sharma and Kaustubh Arora with innovative solutions.

Additional Information

Being a part of CDC helps students grow both professionally and personally. The society focuses not only on entrepreneurship but also on enhancing department-specific skills such as communication, design, marketing, and teamwork.

The society also guides students in interview preparation, LinkedIn profile development, and exploring internship and job opportunities through professional networking.

Additionally, CDC regularly introduces skill enhancement courses. Last year, courses like Nail Art and Baking were launched to encourage creative learning. Although they could not be completed successfully, they reflected the society’s effort to provide diverse and practical learning experiences.
