About the Society
Women Development Cell (WDC) of our college was established in the year 2016 with the vision of fostering gender equality, ensuring women’s safety, and empowering female students through awareness, education, and opportunities.
The Cell serves as a safe and inclusive space where women can express themselves freely, discuss challenges, and take collective steps toward empowerment.
WDC is dedicated to building a college environment that promotes respect, dignity, and equal participation for all genders.

Purpose and Objectives
Key Objectives
● To create awareness about women’s rights, gender equality, and legal provisions for women’s protection.
● To conduct workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions on gender sensitivity and women’s health.
● To address grievances related to gender-based issues with confidentiality and compassion.
● To encourage leadership and confidence among women students.
● To collaborate with other college societies and NGOs to promote inclusivity and empowerment.
Functioning and Structure

The WDC functions under the supervision of the Convenor/Teacher-In-Charge and a team of student office bearers including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Members.
The Cell meets regularly to plan and organize programs, awareness campaigns, and discussions that reflect the values of equality, empowerment, and solidarity.
Regular Activities & Initiatives
Workshops and Seminars on gender sensitization, mental health, self-defense, and leadership.
Awareness Campaigns against sexual harassment, body shaming, domestic violence, and gender stereotypes.
Panel Discussions featuring women achievers, educators, and social activists.
Collaborative Events with NSS, Eco Club, and other departments on gender and environment themes.
Celebrations of International Women’s Day, National Girl Child Day, and Women’s Equality Day.
Social Media Drives and digital storytelling to promote awareness online.
Notable Achievements
Achievements & Highlights
Organized a National Webinar on 'Women Empowerment and Legal Awareness' attended by over 200 participants.
Conducted a Self-Defense Workshop in collaboration with Delhi Police, promoting safety awareness among students.
Organized seminars featuring distinguished speakers and accomplished women to inspire and motivate young girls.
Organized a free eye check-up camp on campus for students, teachers, and staff members.
Collaborated with NGOs for community outreach programs supporting education for underprivileged girls.
Received appreciation from the College Principal for creating a gender-sensitive campus.
