About the Society

Founded in 2015, Malhar – The Music Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College stands as a beacon for fostering growth and development in Indian music culture. Much like its namesake Raag Malhar, the society aims to emulate the soothing experience of listening to the first showers of a torrential downpour. Euphonious melodies with a splash of exuberance are what Malhar stands for.

With a resolute mission to empower individuals with the indispensable skills required in the ever-evolving landscape of music, Malhar orchestrates a series of transformative events, workshops, and performances. These sessions promote personal and artistic development — focusing on self-awareness, leadership, teamwork, and continuous learning through the art of music.
