SANGHARSH
About the Society
संग हम सब एक जैसे,
चले हम सब में एक दूजे का अंश है,
अलग चले तो नाम अनेक,
साथ चले तो संघर्ष है।
Sangharsh – The Drama & Cultural Society
Founded in 2012, Sangharsh is the official drama and cultural society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, University of Delhi.
The name itself — Sangharsh, meaning “struggle” — embodies the spirit of constant questioning, expression, and evolution that defines both theatre and life. The society is driven by a shared passion for theatre as a medium of expression, resistance, and social awareness. Through both stage and street plays, Sangharsh explores stories that reflect the pulse of society — its struggles, silences, and spirit.
Over the years, the society has earned a strong presence in the Delhi Collegiate Theatre Circuit (DCTC), known for its powerful performances, original scripts, and socially conscious themes. For Sangharsh, theatre is not merely performance — it is a continuous fight to question, feel, and express.
Vission
Our Vision
At Sangharsh, we don’t just perform — we believe. We believe that theatre can move hearts, mend silences, and mirror truths that words alone cannot. Our vision is to keep the stage alive as a space of reflection, rebellion, and resonance — where art speaks for those who cannot, and stories become bridges between minds and emotions.
We dream of a collective where passion meets purpose — where every voice counts, every gesture matters, and every story becomes a spark for change.
Because in Sangharsh, #WeBelieve —
- in the power of stories,
- in the courage of art,
- and in the strength of togetherness.
